This morning I started to pray, asking God for......but then I felt Him say something like 'stop asking me for stuff and just enjoy spending time for me.' Wow!
How easy is it to get so caught up in asking God for things, or to help you do things, and actually forget that He isn't a means to an end, but the means and the end!
Jesus taught us to call God 'Father', not facilitator or gift-dispenser, or project manager. He's our Dad, and we get to spend time with Him! Awesome.

I had a similar experience back before I was a Christian, at a Taize service. More recently, I've been feeling something related, in that it is such an amazing thing to be able to ask things of God, how undeserving we are but how faithful he is!
